Different people have different pastimes. Some are fond of sports, some keep pets and spend a lot of time looking after them. My friend Alice enjoys going to the shops. Shopping is her favourite pastime. She can spend hours looking for a new blouse, a beautiful coat or winter boots. I can’t say that shopping is my cup of tea. I hate shopping. Usually there are lots of people in the shops and it takes too much time to find something that you really like. But Alice often asks me to go with her and help her to choose things. I can’t say “no” because we are good friends. So we often go shopping together.

I feel that shopping is not my cup of tea because it takes too much time and there are usually too many people in the shops. I prefer to do something more interesting and relaxing. But if I go shopping with a friend, I can help them choose things.
