Moscow is the capital of Russia. It stands on the Moskva River. The city is famous for its beautiful monuments, theatres, museums and picture galleries. There are many wide streets, large squares, green parks and lovely gardens in Moscow. Its most famous places of interest are the Kremlin, Red Square, St Basil’s Cathedral and many others.

St Petersburg stands on the Neva River. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Russia. The city is known for its wonderful monuments, palaces, theatres, museums and picture galleries. It has many elegant streets, squares, parks and gardens. Among its places of interest are the Hermitage, the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Winter Palace and the famous bridges.
