Hi, Emma,

I’m writing to tell you about my volunteering work for a charity. I’m in a small town near London, where our group is helping people in need.

So far, we have collected clothes, food and books for families, and we have also helped to clean the local park. Last weekend, we visited an old people’s home and spent time talking to the residents. It was very interesting and useful.

I feel happy and proud because I know that our work is important. At first, I was a little nervous, but now I really enjoy helping others. Volunteering has taught me to be more caring and responsible.
