I was a little boy who lived with my mother. One day I went to the forest and saw a strange little man — a brownie. He was very angry because I had taken his things. I was afraid and ran away. Later I understood that I should have been more careful and respectful.

b) the brownie

I lived in the forest and kept my little house in order. Percy came and took my things without asking. I was very angry with him. I wanted to teach him a lesson, so I frightened him. I hoped he would learn to respect other people’s property.

c) Percy’s mother

I was worried about my son Percy when he went to the forest. When he came back, he looked frightened and upset. He told me about the brownie. I understood that he had done something wrong and needed to be more polite and careful.

d) the Old Fairy

I knew about the brownie and Percy’s bad behaviour. I wanted to help them understand each other. I explained that Percy should not take what did not belong to him, and the brownie should not be too harsh. In the end, I helped them make peace.
