The story begins when four children — Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan — come to live in a country house. One day Lucy discovers a strange world called Narnia. It is a very cold place, and it is always winter there. In Narnia Edmund meets the White Witch. She is cruel and dangerous. The children get to Narnia through a wardrobe in the country house.
