Student 1

Answer his / her questions.

Student 2
Answer your classmate’s questions.
Ask him /her:
— what he / she prefers: reading a book or watching a film;
— what book he / she is reading now;
— what the book is about, whether he / she likes it.
Dialogue 2
Situation: Student 1 is a student from Russia. Student 2 is a student from Britain who is travelling around Russia together with his parents.
Use the following phrases if necessary:

Are you enjoying your trip?
Answer the question.
Ask what parts of the country are worth seeing first.
Answer the question (say what sights/ places of interest you want to see and why).
Find out what your friend s favourire places in Britain are.
Make an excuse and say that you need to be off.
Say goodbye.
Student 2
Oh. yes! Russia is a great country’ and I’ve learnt a lot about your traditions and your culture.
Ask your new friend whether he / she would like to visit Britain one day.
Recommend the place (region / city) of the country to start the trip with and explain why.
Ask your friend what places he / she would like to see?
Answer the question (say what your favourite places in Britain are).

Student 1: What parts of the country are worth seeing first?
Student 2: I would recommend visiting Moscow first because it is a beautiful city with many famous sights.
Student 1: What places would you like to see?
Student 2: I would like to see the Kremlin, Red Square and St Basil’s Cathedral.
Student 1: What are your favourite places in Britain?
Student 2: My favourite places in Britain are London and Edinburgh.
