Complete the sentences with the verbs in the past simple or the present perfect.

Example: I … (not see) the film about Captain James Cook yet.

1. James Cook and his crew explored unknown land, brought back a detailed map of the land and discovered some new types of animals and plants.

2. Have you been to Australia? — No, I haven’t been there yet.

3. My father has never worked on a ship.

4. The ship has just reached an island in the Pacific Ocean.

5. The expedition has returned home. The team is very tired and is having a rest.

6. The sailors explored the west coast of the island last year. At the moment they are planning a new expedition.

Present Perfect.
