5. The expedition has returned home. The team is very tired and is having a rest.
6. The sailors explored the west coast of the island last year. At the moment they are planning a new expedition.

Разбор: в 1, 6 предложениях есть указание на прошлое время (last year), поэтому нужен Past Simple. В 2, 3, 4, 5 есть связь с настоящим результатом или слова yet, never, just, поэтому используется Present Perfect.
