A traditional Russian breakfast consists of porridge, eggs, sandwiches, cottage cheese, pancakes and tea or coffee.

For lunch Russian people usually have soup, salad, meat or fish with potatoes, rice or buckwheat, and juice or компот.

Dinner is the meal Russians eat in the evening. People prefer light dishes such as salad, cottage cheese, pasta, vegetables, fish or chicken.
