My New Year’s dinner is always special. Usually we have salad Olivier, roast chicken, potatoes, fruit, sweets and, of course, a cake. My mother cooks most of the dishes, and my father and I help her. I set the table and cut some vegetables.

Our New Year’s dinner is a real family meal. We all sit down at the table together, eat tasty food, tell each other news, give presents, take photos and watch TV. Sometimes we also visit our grandparents.

My favourite food is salad Olivier. I also like tangerines very much. I know the recipe of this salad: you need potatoes, carrots, eggs, cucumbers, peas, chicken or sausage and mayonnaise.

I like New Year’s dinners because they are warm, happy and full of joy. It is a wonderful time when our family is together.
