Children aged 6 to 8 can start primary school in Russia and finish it at the age of 10–12. Secondary school is designed for children aged 11 to 18. In primary school, pupils study Russian, Literary Reading, a Foreign Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Art, Music, Technology and Physical Education. In secondary school, they study the same subjects as well as History, Geography, Information Technology, Chemistry, Biology and others. In most Russian schools, children have to wear uniforms in all classes. Nowadays, schools have many sports facilities, such as swimming pools. There are not many differences between Russian and British schools: they simply teach slightly different subjects.
