Do the project “My town”.
Project:
- Think of the name of your town;
- how many people will live in your town;
- the names of these people;
- their appearance and character;
- the houses they will live in;
- the people’s relatives;
- the people’s jobs and professions;
- the places they will work at;
- the people’s hobbies and favourite activities.
Draw a map of your town:
- draw or stick in pictures of the houses and other places where your town people work or go to for different reasons;
- draw or stick in pictures of the town people and their families in the places you like;
- make captions for your drawings/pictures.
- Present your project.
- Discuss your projects and decide which are the best.
My town
My town is called Sunnyvale. About 5,000 people live there. The people in my town are kind, friendly and hardworking.
There are children, parents, teachers, doctors, shop assistants, builders and farmers. Most of them live in small and comfortable houses with gardens.
The children live with their families. The adults have parents, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives and children. Many people work at the school, the hospital, the shops, the post office and the farm.
The people in my town like reading, playing football, riding bikes, gardening and meeting friends. In their free time they often go to the park, the library and the sports ground.
My town is clean, green and quiet. I like it very much.
