Pair work: What is the recipe for your favourite dish?

Pupil 1: Make a list of food you’ve got. Answer your partner’s questions about how much of each food you’ve got to cook your partner’s favourite dish.

Pupil 2: Name the ingredients of your favourite dish. Ask your partner if she/he has got enough food to cook it.

Sample dialogue:

Pupil 1: What is your favourite dish?

Pupil 2: My favourite dish is pizza.

Pupil 1: What ingredients do you need for it?

Pupil 2: I need flour, cheese, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and some oil.

Pupil 1: Have you got enough flour?

Pupil 2: Yes, I’ve got enough flour.

Pupil 1: Have you got enough cheese?

Pupil 2: No, I haven’t got enough cheese.

Pupil 1: Have you got enough tomatoes?

Pupil 2: Yes, I’ve got enough tomatoes.

Pupil 1: Have you got enough onions?

Pupil 2: Yes, I’ve got enough onions.

Pupil 1: Have you got enough mushrooms?

Pupil 2: No, I haven’t got enough mushrooms.
