Russian and British schools are different in some ways. In Russian schools, the school year usually starts on 1 September and ends in May. In British schools, the school year starts in September too, but it is divided into three terms. Russian pupils usually wear school uniforms in some schools, and British pupils often wear uniforms too.

In Russia, children usually begin school at the age of 6 or 7. In Britain, children start school at about the same age. Russian schools often have a five-day or six-day school week, while British schools usually have a five-day week. In both countries, pupils study many subjects and do homework.

There are also some differences. Russian schools have longer lessons in some cases, and British schools often have more breaks during the day. In Russia, pupils usually have a long summer holiday. British pupils also have holidays, but they are shorter and divided into several parts.
