I am making a phone call.
He is doing his homework.
We are making a cake now.
b) Read the email again and find the verb forms for actions happening now, at the moment of speaking.
c) Write the -ing form of the verbs. Find them in the email and check. What are the spelling rules?
1 spend -> spending
2 get
3 bake
4 wash

1. spend → spending

2. get → getting

3. bake → baking

4. wash → washing

Правила: если глагол оканчивается на e, буква e обычно опускается: bake → baking. Если глагол оканчивается на согласную после краткой гласной, последняя согласная часто удваивается: get → getting.
