HEROES

A They enjoyed their picnic and decided to come back home. Suddenly they saw two big black animals running towards them. The boys didn’t know what to do. Joshua started shouting at the animals. The animals were not frightened at all and the boys climbed up a big tree. B The next day the boys were on the front page of the local paper. The boys received a medal for their help in catching the panthers. Everyone called them heroes. The boys said, «Heroes? How could we be heroes? We spent the whole time up a tree!»
C One sunny morning Joshua and Steven went to the park to play football. The boys wanted to have a picnic, so they took some sandwiches, fruit and juice with them.
D Joshua and Steven sat in the tree. They were terrified! After some time, two men entered the park carrying guns. They were zoo keepers who finally caught the panthers. They returned the animals to the zoo. The zoo keepers explained, «Next time we have to be more careful when we clean the cages. The panthers escaped.»

What a day!

One afternoon, three weeks ago, Terry decided to take his pet snake out for a walk. He put the snake in a basket and got into his car. Then he drove to the park.

At the park, Terry took the snake out and played with it. After that, he put it back in the basket. Terry sat down to read a book. Fifteen minutes later, he looked in the basket and saw that the snake was not there.

Terry looked everywhere and started shouting. He called the police. People were scared, and everyone left the park. However, the police couldn’t find the snake.

Terry was sad when he drove home. Suddenly, he noticed the snake sleeping on the car floor. Terry and the snake were both happy.
