Interviewer: Well, Yura, may I ask you a few questions?

Yura: Yes, I’ll be happy to answer them if I can.

I.: I know that you go to school. What is your school like?

Y.: Well, it’s a big school in Moscow. It’s rather old. I think it’s fifty or sixty years old.

I.: How big is your school?

Y.: About a thousand pupils, I think — four hundred in the primary school and six hundred in the secondary school.

I.: So your primary and secondary schools are under one roof, aren’t they?

Y.: Yes, they are. Most schools in Russia are like that.

I.: I see. But not in England. Our primary and secondary schools are usually situated in different places. What form are you in?

Y.: I’m in my seventh year now, so my form number is 7. In fact it’s 7 “B”, because we have three 7th forms.

I.: How big is your form?

Y.: There are 36 pupils in it — 19 boys and 17 girls.

I.: Have you got any good friends in your form?

Y.: Oh, yes. I have some very good friends who go to my school and my two best friends, Denis and Victor, are my classmates.

I.: Do you and your friends spend a lot of time together after classes?

Y.: Yes, we do. We often play football or basketball. Sometimes we go to the cinema and watch video films or listen to music at somebody’s place.
