a) My friend Mary came to see us last night. My parents and I were at home but we didn’t hear her knock on the door. I was in my room. I was listening to some music. It was a world-famous rock group. My parents were in the sitting room. They were watching television. A football match was on.

b) It was late when I was coming back. The weather was rainy. I became cold. My hat and jacket were wet. It was unpleasant to walk in such weather. The clock was striking midnight. I knew my parents were not sleeping.

c) If you ask me what I enjoy doing, I can say that I’m very interested in languages, because when I go abroad I like to speak with the people there. I enjoy playing the piano. I have music classes on Monday and Friday. My teacher says I’m a success. I often play for my friends when we have a party. And I love listening to music. I usually listen to music that I don’t or can’t play. And I like cooking very much. I often cook for my family.
