Endangered Species in Russia

Russia is home to many endangered plants and animals. One of them is the Amur tiger. It lives in the forests of the Far East. The Amur tiger is very beautiful and strong, but there are not many of them left in the wild. People protect these animals because they are in danger of disappearing.

Another endangered animal is the saiga antelope. It lives in the степи of southern Russia. Saigas are unusual animals with big noses. They need protection too, because their number is very small.

Among endangered plants there is the lady’s slipper orchid. It is a rare and beautiful flower. It grows in forests and meadows, but people must not pick it.

We should protect endangered species and take care of nature.
