In Britain, children usually start schooling at the age of 5. They spend 11 years at school. Education has several stages: primary school, secondary school and, after that, further education. Most schools are state schools, and schooling is free there, but there are also private schools. Pupils study English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Art, Music and other subjects. In many schools children wear a school uniform. At the end of school, pupils take exams.
