The USA is a large country in North America. It borders Canada in the north and Mexico in the south. The country has different kinds of relief: there are high mountains, wide plains, many lakes and long rivers. The climate also varies from one region to another: it is cold in the north, warm in the south, and quite different in the east and the west.

There are many places of interest in the USA, for example the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park, the Statue of Liberty and the White House. Some of the biggest and most famous cities are New York and Washington, D.C. New York is a great centre of business, culture and entertainment, while Washington, D.C. is the capital of the country.

People in the USA are known for their independence and love of freedom. Americans have many traditions and holidays, such as Thanksgiving, Independence Day and Christmas. The USA is a country with a rich history, beautiful nature and a very interesting way of life.
