You: Hello! It’s Alex. Can I speak to Bob, please?
Bob’s mother: I’m sorry, but he is not in. Shall I ask him to call back when he comes?
You: No, I’m afraid I will not be at home till late today. It’s my aunt’s birthday and I’m going to her with my parents.
Bob’s mother: I can take a message then. What’s up?
You: Good news! There will be no lessons tomorrow! We are going to the country to have a picnic. The whole class and our teacher are going there.
Bob’s mother: You won’t wear your school uniform, will you?
You: No, we won’t. We’ll wear sports clothes, because we are going to play football, volleyball and badminton there.
Bob’s mother: I think you can get hungry and thirsty there.
You: Oh, yes! That is why everybody should take some food and some drinks.
Bob’s mother: I’ll give Bob some meat and cheese sandwiches and a big bottle of lemonade.
You: That’s great! I like your sandwiches very much.
Bob’s mother: Thank you for calling us. Have a good time tomorrow. Bye, then.
You: Thank you. Goodbye.
