Sample story:

Last week our class discussed the Teenagers’ Competition. I wanted to take part in it because I like English and I enjoy speaking in public. My friend Kate also decided to join the competition. We prepared our projects together, practised our speeches and helped each other with difficult words.

On the day of the competition we were very nervous, but the teachers were friendly and supportive. Many teenagers from different schools took part in it. Some of them sang songs, others told stories or showed their drawings. It was really interesting to watch them.

Kate and I did our best and answered all the questions. We didn’t win the first prize, but we were happy to take part in such a wonderful event. We got a lot of useful experience and made new friends. We are sure we will take part in the next competition too.
