Talking on the phone has both advantages and disadvantages.
On the one hand, I can use the phone to communicate with my friends, relax, receive important information, phone for an ambulance or the police, send and receive fax messages or e-mail, and use the Internet. It is also a good way to help disabled and lonely people stay in touch with others.
On the other hand, talking on the phone can be a waste of time. It may leave me with no time to do homework, read, help my parents, go in for sports, or visit my friends and relatives. Besides, when I speak on the phone, I can’t see the eyes of the person I’m talking to.
