Sally: Hi, Charlie, I can’t hear you very well. What’s all that noise?
Charlie: Sorry … is that better? I’m having a little party.
Sally: Why? It’s not your birthday, is it?
Charlie: No. Not until March. It’s to celebrate passing my exams.
Sally: Did you pass them all?
Charlie: Yeah! It’s a miracle. And Mum said I can invite everyone around. Anyway, do you want to come over?
Sally: What’s happening?
Charlie: Well, Lizzie and Sam are making pizzas and we’re singing karaoke!
Sally: Oh no! I hate singing!
Charlie: Come on, it’s fun. Helen is organising party games later. Everybody’s here.
Sally: Who is “everybody”?
Charlie: Well, Tony and his brother are here and Joanne is cycling over after her piano lesson.
Sally: OK then. It sounds like fun. Do you want me to bring anything?
Charlie: No, just come over … see you in five minutes?
Sally: OK … bye!

Michael is being a bit silly. He’s excited because he is staying up late tonight. Mum and Dad are talking about the summer holidays. I think Mum wants to go somewhere exotic! Hurry up.
