2. Do you want to take part in the award? Why? What will your personal programme be?

1) The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award has three levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold. At each level there are four sections: Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition. In each section you can choose different activities, for example helping other people, doing sport, learning a new skill or going on a hike. You can take part in the programme from the age of 14.

2) Yes, I would like to take part in the award because it is interesting and useful. It helps young people become more active, responsible and independent. My personal programme would include volunteering at an animal shelter, playing football, learning to play the guitar and taking part in a hiking expedition.
