After school, British children like to go to clubs and organisations. American children do the same as well. Besides, they take part in sports and other activities. As to Australian children, they often spend time outdoors and play sports.

The clubs and organisations are:

• the Scouts — an organisation for boys and girls that teaches useful skills and outdoor life;
• the Boy Scouts — a boys’ organisation;
• the Girl Scouts — a girls’ organisation;
• the Boys and Girls Clubs of America — clubs for boys and girls in the USA;
• the Boys’ Brigade — a boys’ organisation;
• the Girls’ Brigade — a girls’ organisation;
• the Girl Guides — an organisation for girls.

4-H is a youth organisation that helps children learn practical skills and take part in useful activities.
