In my opinion, people’s choices about the best and most popular things in Russia can be different. Some people choose the Kremlin, the Bolshoi Theatre or the Trans-Siberian Railway. Others prefer Lake Baikal, the Hermitage Museum or Russian literature. Personally, I think that the matryoshka doll is one of the most recognizable symbols of Russia. It is colourful, interesting and connected with our traditions. I also recommend visiting Maslenitsa, because it is a cheerful holiday with music, games and pancakes. These things show Russia’s rich culture and make it special. They help visitors understand our history and enjoy Russian life.
