Производство бумаги:

Paper production starts with a tree. Every fifth tree in the world is used to make paper.

The wood is cut into small pieces.

The wood chips are mixed with water to produce pulp.

Used paper is taken from recycling centres. Then it is carried to paper factories.

The used paper is worked up and mixed with the wood pulp.

Chemicals are used to make the pulp white. Then the pulp is dried to form huge rolls of paper. Large rolls of paper are cut into smaller ones. Large rolls are used for newspapers, and smaller rolls are used for books and magazines.

Less than half of all paper is recycled. We can recycle more.
