You and your foreign friend are discussing how to spend the evening together. You begin the conversation. Suggest doing the following: play netball; take part in a drawing competition. Listen to your friend and accept his/her suggestion to take photos of the camp. Explain why.
Pupil card 2
You and your foreign friend are discussing how to spend the evening together. Listen to your friend and refuse his/her suggestions. Explain why. Suggest doing the following: cycle; take photos of the camp.
- Oral report. Look at the pictures. Which are your favourite hobbies/free-time activities? Why? Which activities would you like to take up? Why? You have to talk for one minute. The teacher will listen to you until you have finished. Then he/she will ask you some questions.

2. Oral report
My favourite free-time activities are reading, playing football and listening to music. I like reading because it is interesting and helps me learn new things. I enjoy playing football because it is active and fun. I also like listening to music because it helps me relax.
I would like to take up swimming. I think it is a useful and healthy sport. It makes people strong and energetic. I would also like to learn how to play the guitar, because I like music and want to play my favourite songs.
