Project 3 A hobby I’d like to take up
Describe a hobby you’d like to take up. Explain your choice. Illustrate your ideas with pictures, drawings and captions.
- Present your project and answer your classmates’ questions.
- Discuss your projects and decide which is the best.
For this project, you can choose one of the three topics and prepare a short presentation with pictures, captions, and a clear written text.
Project 1. My ideal weekend
My ideal weekend
On Saturday morning, I would sleep a little longer and have a tasty breakfast with my family. Then I would go to the park for a walk or ride my bike. In the afternoon, I would meet my friends and play football or go to the cinema. In the evening, I would read an interesting book and listen to music.
On Sunday, I would visit my grandparents and help them in the garden. After that, I would do my homework and get ready for the new week. My ideal weekend would be active, fun and relaxing.

Our survey shows that playing sports is the most popular free-time activity in our class. Listening to music is also very popular. Reading and playing computer games are liked by many students too.

A hobby I’d like to take up
I’d like to take up photography. I think it is an interesting hobby because it helps people notice beautiful things around them. I like taking pictures of nature, animals and people. Photography is creative and exciting, and it can help me remember special moments in my life.
I would like to learn how to use a camera better and make my photos more beautiful. That is why photography is the hobby I’d like to take up.
Presentation tip: add pictures, drawings or photos and write short captions for them, for example: “My favourite place,” “My friends at the weekend,” “A photo of my hobby.”
