WRITING

Write about heroes of your region. Describe their life and achievements (100 words).

One of the heroes of my region is Alexander Matrosov. He was a brave young soldier during the Great Patriotic War. Alexander was born in 1924 and grew up in a difficult time. When the war began, he joined the army and fought for his country. He became famous for his courage and self-sacrifice. In 1943, he closed an enemy machine-gun with his body and saved his comrades. This heroic act made him a symbol of bravery and patriotism. People in my region remember him with respect and gratitude. His life shows that a real hero is a person who is ready to give everything for others and for his homeland.
