1. Yes, he did. He looked scary because he appeared in the moonlight as an old man with red eyes, long grey hair, dirty old clothes and heavy rusty chains.
2. His eyes were red. His hair was long and grey and fell over his shoulders. His clothes were very old and dirty.
3. He probably had chains on his wrists and ankles because he was a ghost and the chains were part of his frightening appearance.
4. Mr Otis offered the Ghost a lubricator because the clanking chains were making noise, and he wanted the Ghost to oil them.
5. In my opinion, he was angry and surprised.
6. His appearance changed: his colour turned green.
7. He hurried to escape because the twins threw a large pillow at him, and he was frightened.
