The Possessive Case with the apostrophe is used to show that something belongs to someone or something.

For a singular noun, the apostrophe is placed before -s: the cat’s tail.

For a plural noun ending in -s, the apostrophe is placed after -s: the dogs’ owner.

Answer: singular noun — noun + ’s; plural noun — noun + s’.
