Dr Kock discussed the problem with his colleague Dr Atkinson They visited the park together and decided that the problem was the poachers. They decided to cut off the rhino’s horns. When they returned to the national park last year, they discovered an increase in the black rhino population. In fact 71 % of the baby rhinos survived lost year.
