I usually write e-mails to my friends and family when I am away from them. It is quick and convenient, and I can send messages at any time.

I would prefer texting or e-mailing because they are fast and easy. I can contact my friends immediately, and they can answer when they have time. I also like skyping because it lets me see and hear the person.
