My mother had to do a lot of house chores when she was a teenager. She had to clean the rooms, wash the dishes, do the laundry and sometimes cook dinner for the family. She also had to help with shopping and take care of younger children.

My house chores are a little different. I usually tidy my room, wash the dishes after meals, take out the rubbish and help my parents with cleaning. I do not have to do as many chores as my mother did when she was my age.

So, my mother had more responsibilities at home than I do now. But we both understand that helping around the house is important.
