Alice: Mom. I must be at school at 8 tomorrow.
Mother: Why so early, Alice?
Alice: I haven’t done one of my home tasks. It’s too difficult. I’ll copy from Mike.
Mother: No, that’s not right. You’ll have to do it yourself, Alice. You mustn’t cheat!
Alice: Mom, there’s another thing! Our teacher gave us a composition to write. I had to start it yesterday, but I forgot. Now I have to stay up all night to hand it in tomorrow.
Mother: No, you mustn’t stay up all night! Go to bed now, have a good sleep and get up earlier. You must then write down a plan, concentrate and do the task. You’ll have plenty of time before school starts.
Alice: Can I just watch TV a little now?
Mother: No, you must go to bed right now. When I was your age and had to write an essay, I started to work on it at least two days in advance. You must be more organised or you’ll have to help me more around the house, do more house chores.
Alice: Ok, Mom. I understand! I’ll do as you say.
