Last week, a new sports centre opened in our area. The opening ceremony took place on Saturday morning and many local people came to see it. The mayor gave a short speech and cut the ribbon.

The sports centre has a swimming pool, a gym and two football pitches. It will be a great place for children and teenagers to do sport after school. Many students are happy because they can now train in modern facilities.

People in our area think this is an important event because it will help everyone stay healthy and active. The sports centre is already very popular, and many families are planning to visit it this weekend.
