Dialogue 1
— How can I help you?
— I’d like a pair of opera glasses. My seat is rather far from the stage.
— Certainly. Here you are. It’s a good pair of glasses. You’ll be able to see the stage well.
— Thank you.

Dialogue 2
— Excuse me, can I have two seats for the afternoon performance tomorrow?
— What seats do you prefer?
— I like seats close to the stage, the front rows of the stalls, if possible.
— Let me see. I have two seats in Row C and two seats in Row F.
— Row C will be fine.

Dialogue 3
— Excuse me, where can I get a programme? I’d like to know who is singing today.
— You can buy a programme from the usher. She is standing over there near the door to the hall.
— Thanks very much.
— You’re welcome.

Dialogue 4
— Can you help me, please?
— Yes?
— I have a problem with my seat. It says on the ticket: “Seat 18, Row D” but there is someone sitting there.
— Let me see. You know, your ticket is not to the stalls, it’s to the circle.
— Oh, how silly of me! I’m sorry.
— No problem. Would you like a programme?
— No, thanks. I’ve got one.

Dialogue 5
— Well, I’m dying for a drink.
— Would you like to go to the buffet? I could do with a cup of coffee and a cake too.
— It’s a very good idea. How much time do we have?
— About 10 or 15 minutes. I would also like to buy a book. I saw some books about this theatre on sale in the foyer.
— OK. Go and buy your book and I’ll get coffee and a cake for you.
