Текст аудирования:
I was 11 years old when my school friend Nick Kennedy and I decided to watch a grown-up film. It was a new film and people talked a lot about it, but it was not a film for children under 14. Nick and I decided that we would try to look older. On Saturday afternoon I put on my elder sister’s jacket, a bright yellow T-shirt and a purple tie. I thought such clothes would help me to look like a grown-up, especially the purple tie.
Nick was waiting for me at the cinema house. His clothes were the same as usual and he was really surprised to see mine.
“In these clothes you look like a girl,” he said. “I don’t look like a girl,” I replied. “I look like a grown-up.” But Nick was not so sure of it, so he went to the ticket office to buy tickets himself. He asked for two tickets in a very low voice that didn’t sound like Nick’s. “They won’t let us in,” I thought. “It is clear that we are both younger than 14.” But to my surprise, Nick left the ticket office with two tickets in his hand. “Let’s go and find our seats,” he said. “They are in row 7.” The show began; the people around us seemed to enjoy it. It was a comedy and the audience laughed a lot. I laughed together with them. But when I came home and my sister asked me what was good about the film, I couldn’t answer her question. There had been a lot of jokes in the film and I had laughed at them but I had not understood them at all.

Подробный ответ

1) False — they decided to watch a grown-up film, not a film every Saturday afternoon.

2) True — once they decided to watch a new film.

3) True — they wanted to look older because the film was not for children under 14.

4) False — only the storyteller put on unusual clothes; Nick’s clothes were the same as usual.

5) False — in the ticket office Nick was asked for two tickets; nobody asked about his age.

6) False — the film was a comedy, not a funny film in the sense of a children’s film, but the text says the audience laughed a lot.

7) Not stated — the storyteller laughed, but it is not said that both boys enjoyed the film a lot.

8) True — the storyteller did not understand the jokes, so the film was not really suitable for his age.
