As it was a special day, Mr White took his wife to a very expensive restaurant. There people could often meet pop stars and actors. Soon after Mr and Mrs White had ordered their meal, a very good-looking man and a beautiful woman came into the restaurant and sat down at a table next to theirs. The faces of the elegantly dressed young couple seemed familiar to Mrs White. She felt really thrilled. The lady said to her husband, “Look at those people, George! I’m sure I’ve seen their pictures somewhere.” The new visitors gave their order to the waiter, and when he brought Mr and Mrs White their roast beef, Mrs White said to him, “Who are these people? Do you know them?”
“Oh, they are nobody famous,” answered the waiter with a smile.

Possible beginning

Mr White had been planning to surprise his wife for a long time. It was their wedding anniversary, so he decided to take her to a very expensive restaurant in the centre of the city. Mrs White was delighted, because such places were usually visited by famous people. She put on her best dress, and they went there in the evening.

Possible ending

“Oh, they are nobody famous,” answered the waiter with a smile. “They are the owners of this restaurant. They come here every evening to see how everything is going.”

Mrs White looked at the couple again and felt very embarrassed. Mr White laughed, and the waiter brought them their dinner. The evening turned out to be a big surprise for Mrs White indeed.
