1. What I know about William Shakespeare: He was a famous English playwright and poet. He wrote many plays, such as Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and Macbeth. He is often called the greatest writer in English literature.

2. What I would like to know: I would like to know more about his childhood, his family, why he left Stratford for London, and how he became such a successful writer.

Marked words: Their meanings are understood from the context.
