You are going to read three texts about successful persons: Walt Disney, Mother Teresa and Slava Polunin. Before you start reading say what you know about them. Gather the information and write it down on a poster.
- Choose and read one of the texts. Find out if you were right.

- Do you think Walt Disney, Mother Teresa and Slava Polunin were successful persons? Why?
- Is there anything in the text that surprised you?

Walt Disney, Mother Teresa and Slava Polunin were all successful persons because they were talented, hardworking and had clear goals. Walt Disney created famous cartoons and Disneyland. Mother Teresa devoted her life to helping poor, sick and dying people. Slava Polunin became a world-famous clown and mime actor, and his shows are loved by people in many countries.
What surprised me most was that Walt Disney was not a very good student at school, but he still became so successful. I also learned that Mother Teresa used the Nobel Prize money to help poor people, and that Slava Polunin believes clowns can communicate without words.
