In my opinion, the most dangerous natural disaster is an earthquake. It is very dangerous because it can destroy houses, roads and bridges in a few seconds. People may be injured or even killed, and many families can lose their homes.
An earthquake is very difficult to predict, so people usually do not know when it will happen. That is why it is important to be ready for it all the time.
During an earthquake, people should stay calm and follow safety rules. They should hide under a strong table, stay away from windows and heavy furniture, and not use lifts. If they are outside, they should move away from buildings, trees and power lines.
Emergency workers rescue people, help the injured and look for those who are missing. After the disaster, they clear the roads, give medical help and provide food, water and shelter for the victims.
