One of the proverbs: Actions speak louder than words.

There was a boy named Tom who often promised to help his classmates, but he never did anything in practice. He always said, “I will help you tomorrow,” or “I will do it later,” but his words were empty.

One day the teacher asked the class to prepare a project. Tom said that he would do the biggest part of the work. However, when the time came, he did nothing and left all the work to his friends. They were disappointed and upset.

At the last lesson the teacher praised another boy, Nick, who was quiet and never made big promises, but always helped others. He worked hard, finished his part on time and supported his classmates. Everyone understood that Nick was a reliable person.

Tom felt ashamed. He realized that people judge us not by our words, but by our actions. From that day on, he tried to keep his promises and do what he said.

Moral: actions are more important than words.
