Gary was standing on the bridge holding his new bicycle. Gary felt annoyed and angry because he got a bad mark at school. A boy, a bit younger than Gary, came up to the bridge to cross it.
“Hey! Get out of here! It’s my bridge,” said Gary in a (1) ______ voice. “If you want to cross it, give me your pocket money. Now!”
Gary was not a bully, he just wanted to see if the boy would pay. The boy was (2) ______. He looked around for help, but there was nobody to (3) ______ him. He was afraid to (4) ______ with the bully who was bigger than him.
The boy turned his pockets inside out. He looked hurt and unhappy and Gary felt uneasy about it but took the money.
