New Year’s Day is celebrated on January 1. People welcome the new year with parties, fireworks and good wishes. Many people make resolutions for the coming year.

Halloween is celebrated on October 31. Children dress up in costumes, go trick-or-treating and carve pumpkins. It is a fun holiday with a little bit of mystery.

Thanksgiving is celebrated in the USA on the fourth Thursday in November. Families get together, have a special dinner and thank God for the harvest and for all the good things in life.
