Boylan asked Rudolph if his sister had found a job. Rudolph said that he didn’t know, because he hadn’t heard from her recently. Boylan asked whether Rudolph thought she would be successful and whether she had talent. Rudolph answered that he thought so and said that she had something.

Irwin Shaw was an American playwright, screenwriter and novelist. He was born in 1913 and died in 1984. He is famous for his novels, short stories and plays, including Rich Man, Poor Man.
