7. Rob wants to learn Russian. He’s telling his friends why. Listen to his ideas and write down arguments against myth 1, myth 2 and myth 3.

Arguments against the myths:

1. Russian has a future. It is the fifth most frequently spoken language in the world. Over 150 million people speak it as their first language, and about 120 million people used to learn it as their second language.
2. Russian is not very difficult. Its alphabet is different but easy to learn in about a week. Russian spelling is not a problem, and reading and writing in Russian are easier than in English.
3. Russia is not a poor or closed country. It has always been one of the richest countries in the world. Today it is open and friendly, and many Western companies are interested in Russian business.
